Summer is officially here! This is the season we live for- so many cookouts, vacations, and activities with friends and family. Have you ever stopped to consider just how much there is to do right here at home? We are lucky to live in such an amazing place with gorgeous waterways everywhere you turn, world-renowned bourbon tours, access to a diverse array of music and art, and so much delicious food. We've put together some ideas to pack your weekend with some Kentucky fun.

If you haven't experienced our creekside camping yet, we highly recommend adding it to your summer to-do list! Off-the-grid, but with some comforts of home, guests can enjoy a paddle trip right to their tent, and unwind to the sound of the creek flowing by.

Our sister company, Kentucky River Tours, offers a variety of interesting tours along the Kentucky River in downtown Frankfort. Learn something new and see our town from a new perspective!

We're lucky to have free access to unique artwork, right here in our community. Explore nearly 70 works of art through 30 acres of native meadows and newly forested areas. Enjoy picnic areas, native plants, wildlife habitat and a rotating exhibit of contemporary art that is fun for the entire family.

Downtown Frankfort is full of great shops, bars, restaurants, art, and history. Take advantage of all it has to offer and pop in to the many locally owned businesses, enjoy a drink in the MIX District, stroll along the river, or catch a concert on the Old Capitol lawn.

Just minutes from our Creekside Campground, West Sixth Farm offers many great beers, brewed in their Lexington brewery, and on tap in their farm taproom. Sip a Kentucky-brewed beer while exploring the trails, tossing a frisbee, or relaxing in the shade.
