This will be a six (6) part series covering our team and what it is they do and provide for CKY and our customers.
Part Two: The folks that meet you and greet you upon arrival at CKY are some of the nicest people you will meet. Not only do they need to have that smiling face that is so deserved by our customers, but they must be able to multi task, juggling phones, customers, sales, and more. They must also do a very clear and concise job explaining how everything is going to work in a clear manner, but not taking up too much time as the ultimate goal is to get you on the water as quickly as possible. And we know that not all customer service reps are going to be "girls", however, do to the amount of multi tasking it takes, as well as the ability to stay calm and collective , we have found "girls" to fill this role best!
Our girls also takes the brunt of the good and the bad. They are the first to know when someone had a great time, but they are also the first to hear about it when someones expectations were not met. This can be a challenge as all we want to do as a team is provide great experiences and memories for our customers, but some times that just does not happen. We take that very personally. Our girls folks know from day one that they have the authority to make or break a customers trip. They are given free range on helping to make it better. Maybe it is a child with a cut finger. A free ice cream goes a long way. Or maybe it is someone had a flip that scared them. A complimentary trip may get them to try it another time. We arm them with this ability, and our folks are great at using it at the moment it needs to be used.
When visiting with our team, realize that many of our folks behind the counter are in their first job and that they want to see you have as much fun as quickly as you do. Also know that they are taught to run things a certain way, and in order to follow that letter of the law, which ultimately is what helps us run such a safe a professional operation, they may not always give you the exact answer you want, but they will give you one that we KNOW is going to make for a better experience for you. It takes a lot of patience and kindness to help people who are excited, tired, had to ride with three screaming kids, late on arrival, and more scenarios, and to help them in a way that turns their day around. Our customer service are our front line folks in getting this done!
