Perfect for families... greenhorns and grizzlebacks... close to home!
We are offering trips on the Kentucky River in Frankfort every Friday - Sunday, from Memorial Day till Labor Day. These trips are offered by the hour, so if you want to go out for 1 hour or 4 hours, it's your choice. This is a wonderful section of the river. Check out the lock and dam that has stood since 1820, Daniel Boone's grave, the Singing Bridge, the joining of the three original counties, and much more. Come join us for an urban/coutryside paddle trip... all in one!
We also offer a guided tour out of this location. Departure time is 4:00, Friday through Sunday. This guided trip takes you down stream of the put in, where, on Saturdays and Sunday, you can "lock through" Lock and Dam #4. This is an awesome experience, to be inside something that was built in 1820! Once below, check out Buffalo Trace Distillery, the old hemp mill, and more. These guided tours last just over 2 hours. What a great way to spend an evening on the river with family and friends. Refreshments and snacks are provided during the tour.
These trips depart from Riverview Park across from the Capital Plaza Hotel. This is a great way to get out on the water, try out some higher end boats, and not have to go far from town!

Directions to Riverview Park
Go into Downtown Frankfort. You are looking for the "tower" office building in Frankfort. It is a 38 story structure... the tallest one in downtown, and is right next door to the Capital Plaza Hotel. The park is right across the street (US 127) from the tower. There are two sides to the park. You should not be on the side with the Farmer's Market, but instead, the side with the riverfront access, and the boat dock. Next door to Gatti's Pizza.
