We have gone ahead and closed the Elkhorn down to rentals until we get some more rain. We will be continuing rentals on the Kentucky River during the week and on weekends. The trips we offer during the week are pool paddles, meaning that you can go either which direction, up or downstream, then return back to the same spot. These are perfect for families, groups, and anyone who is wanting to get a way and see anew stretch of water. Still come to the shop here in Peak's Mill and we will arrange your trip out of here. See you on the water... and... for a change of pace, sign up for our Falls of the Ohio Canoe Hike. The first one is this coming weekend, with two more to follow! See you on the water!

Due to Lexington and Georgetown not getting the rain this week, we have closed the Elkhorn Creek due to low water levels and high rocks.  Please call us for the details for the Kentucky River.  On weekends, we do a 3.5 mile trip which would take about 1.5-2 hours to paddle.  It is flat water with no current, but it has lots of water being about 15 feet deep in the center.  Call us and we'll get you out paddling!!

We will give it one more day, then all of our rentals are going to move out to the Kentucky River starting Monday. Weekday river rentals wil still have customers meeting at Canoe Kentucky, weekend river rentals will meet up at Riverview Park in Frankfort. So give us a call to set up your trip. Low... but we are here. To be honest, folks yesterday said it was low, but still had a great time. If you don't mind getting your feet wet, there is nothing wrong with the level. We are totally booked out today though, so if you are wanting to come out and don't have a reservation, make it tomorrow. Otherwise, keep on "rain dancin'" and we will hopefully be back on the creek soon. This will be our last weekend on it until we get some rain. See you on the water!
