GREEN - IDEAL CONDITIONS
2.25 Feet to 3.75 Feet
Everyone must have proper size life jacket. Children 10 and under and non-swimmers must wear life jacket.
YELLOW-GREEN - CAUTION
3.75 Feet to 4.50 Feet
Must have some experience, no non-swimmers, no coolers, life jackets must be worn..
YELLOW - EXTREME CAUTION
4.50 Feet to 5 Feet
Experienced Elkhorn Creek paddlers only. Lifejackets must be worn. All rentals at Canoe Kentuckys' discretion.
RED - NO RENTALS
5.1 Feet or Above
We will run private boat shuttles up to 6.1 feet, but no rentals.

Hello Paddlers! Man, what a wet summer, hopefully the rains will come again this week so we will continue these AWESOME water levels! Come on Lexington and Georgetown, rain dance again please! Lets go ahead and just make the rain dance and Monday and Tuesday ritual! Come on out the water is WET!

We are going to be flooded out for the day, but we will be back running tomorrow with a great level. We cut off at 2' above Summer pool, as an insuance requirment. Sorry to anyone who wanted to come out n' play today... make it tomorrow. See you on the water.

It's amazing that one day we think it's getting low, then we start worrying about flooding out.. Yes, we could flood out tomorrow, but won't know for sure until in the morning. But... it makes sure we have a great level for this weekend, so get your reservations in now. See you on the water.

THANK YOU to all of the friends of Canoe Kentucky who did the rain dance for us last night......It worked!! Lexington got 1 inch of rain!! Yepee!! What does that mean, tomorrow it will rise the Elkhorn Creek here in Frankfort. It also means this weekend should be PERFECT, go ahead and get your reservations in NOW for this weekend!!

The Creek is GREAT for fishing, our fishermen yesterday said it was great!! Anyway, the creek is getting a little low so all of our friends and customers in the Lexington and Georgetown area, we would appreciate a little rain dance this evening!! This would really help our GREAT water level season and it needs a boost!

Water has come down a bit, but know that Summer Pool is averaged by what we usually have on July 1st... so we are average...and we are fine with that! Come on out and see us, and rain is in the forecast for this week, so start making plans for next weekend!

First things first! We did get some more rain; about a 1/2 and inch. Guarantee's us good water for the next few days. Second thing, the creek still looks perfect for this weekend. We have an awesome water level for this time of year, and we look forward to hoards of people coming out and spening time together on the creek. We are here to help... as that is our mission.. Water level is hanging out for a great weekend! Get your reservations in today, as we could run out of boats this weekend. Should be above summer pool all weekend, which means we should be running rafts, canoes and kayaks. We will also be at the Kentucky River this weekend, so weigh your options and get outside.
