This is the sad truth, but I have not fished the creek all year! Sure, I have thrown a line here and there, but have not hooked into anything this year. Now I can still talk the talk... but I figure I better back it up.
So myself, Wes, Chris D. Eric, Spence and Chad put on about 6 PM at Knight's Bridge. The fish were htting all evening... no one time better than the other. I was throwing a 2" Pumpkinseed grub jig, and catching lots of smaller fish. Only about 2 in the slot.
Chad was the man of the night! He was throwing a Chartruse double bladed spinner, small, with a 3" twister tail grub trailing. He caught about 12 fish, and I would say that all of them were in the slot. One was pushing 18"! At one point, he boated three fish in three casts!
So overall a great night! Get out there and give it a shot... and plenty of practice will make you ready for the fishing tournament coming up on Saturday, August 27th!
